Not sure yet how I'm feeling bout the layout? What do you guys think?? I love the colors and all... I guess we'll see...
Sorry I haven't updated in a while, it's been a rough couple weeks. First off, I have what some would call an unreliable internet connection. We live in the boonies in my in-law's in-law quarters and the only internet options are dial up or satellite. Apparently, they don't want us using their connection so, we have to figure out something else... Satellite is the best option but, the equipment isn't cheap!! I think we have to finish paying the phone from out apartment before we can get dial up. Either way, it sucks. I normally just come here, to my mom's to do stuff online but, with everything going on, the creative juices just aren't really flowing.
At the beginning of last week, my mom was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. She had 2 masses show up between her mammogram in November and a couple weeks ago. So, next Wednesday, the 6th of August, she's having her left breast removed. A radical step but, it's the type of cancer that takes hold in one place then uses the lymph system to travel. So, she feels she'd rather be safe than sorry. Then, in a month or so, once she's healed and they can scan her body for anymore, she'll start Chemo. She'll go through a minimum of 2 months of it and possibly 4 months, if they find it in her lymph nodes. Then, she'll be on another, IV treatment for a year. So, it's been a rough week here...
On an upnote, my son turned a year old last Thursday!! We had his party on Saturday. He had a blast but, wasn't really interested in eating his cake!! He demolished it though!! LOL I want to do a layout but, for now, since I don't have the kit I want, here's a couple pictures from his birthday and his party!! Oh, I'm also working on some tag sized birthday kits, I have a bunch of papers since I bought some actions but, I'm drawing a blank on emblies... Plus, I'm doing boy and girl ones so, all together, there's almost 50 papers!! I got carried away!! I'm hoping to get them finished soom!! Now, on to some cuteness!!
